Al Capone was born Alphonse Capone on January 17, 1899. Capone's parents were both from Naples, and had immigrated to the united states. Capone was 1 of 9 kids and grew up in New York City. Capone left school at age 14 for striking his teacher, and worked multiple jobs. He was a candy store clerk, a bowling alley pin boy, a labourer in an ammunition plant, and a cutter in a book bindery. Capones family eventually moved to an ethnically mixed aea, which widened his cultural experiences, which ultimately led him to being equipped to run his criminal empire.
Criminal BackgroundCapone dominated organized crime in Chicago from 1925 to 1931. Capones criminal life began when he was young, he was part of two "kid gangs"; "South Brooklyn Rippers" and "Forty Thieves Juniors" The gangs were known for petty crimes and vandalism. Throughout his childhood and young adulthood he was involved in multiple violent incidents. Capone was suspected for murder, and brutal assault, but they could never charge him.

Criminal life
Capone became crime czar of Chicago, running, gambling, prostitution and bootlegging rackets and expanding his territories by gunning down rivals and rival gangs. Capone used violence and threats to infiltrate the government, and he ended up winning office in Cicero, illinois.
