Why is this case Famous?
The criminal case of Al capone is important because it "established whether a man can so conduct his affairs that he is above the government and above the law.” Al Capone was: the most prominent gangster, the most profitiable crime syndicate, and the mastermind of the notiorious "Valentines Massacre of 1929". Yet, Al Capone would not be brought down for extortion, bootlegging, or even murder. Capone went far enough to describe himself as "a gambler, a realtor, a cleaner and a presser and a dog race-track owner." He would soon be brought to justice for not paying his income tax. This specific case is the most known example for the thing most mothers teach their kids; follow the rules.
